Noosa National Park Walk
Ignore the weather predictions made for the day – Noosa National Park is still a winner in the wet winter weather and a great escape from your Dowling and Neylan Holiday Accommodation. The main coastal track from Noosa Heads to Dolphin Point via Boiling Pot is well tar-sealed making it a great all weather walking track being pram and wheelchair friendly. There are very slight rises to the walk but not all that steep so a really low level of fitness is all you need. Perfect for walkers of any experience.
The very energetic, (lets not forget you are on holiday), can walk from the entrance to Sunshine Beach. A great day out if you wanted to enjoy a leisurely lunch, picnic or coffee and bus or taxi your return trip.
It’s a pleasant stroll down the hill from Hastings Street to the Noosa National Park entrance, if you follow the newly renovated boardwalk or if you prefer buses leave from the bus shelter opposite Lions Park as well as various stops in Noosaville. Car parking is also available.
Time your holiday walk well and you may even spot dolphins and whales traveling on their annual getaway. Early walkers are often spoilt with a welcome from a koala hidden amongst the gum trees. Check the ranger’s board near the entrance for the days finds. Maps are also available from the ranger’s station or on large welcoming boards. The views from the walking track, whether out to sea or amongst the park lands are magnificent so don’t forget your camera.
It’s another popular spot for surf board riders who track for miles across this route for a good wave. Sunrise walkers will also see early bird yoga participants enjoying early morning strength.
Other walks in the area include the Pal Grove Circuit. A flat walk amongst the forest where you are likely to see (and hear) native wild life. Once you’ve taken a few steps, you’ll feel like you a world’s away from anywhere with wonderful bird songs forcing you to relax in an instant. It’s a refreshing walk that starts and ends near the back of the car park. The track floor is left relatively natural and there are a few steps to climb.
Watch out for the local joggers also. It’s a popular place for tri-athletes to train as well as regular fitness lovers to enjoy.
So no matter what your purpose for visiting Noosa Heads, be sure to make a trip to the Noosa National Park and see why the Sunshine Coast is truly a special destination.
